About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and client-focused Protection Adviser to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising clients on suitable protection products including life insurance, critical illness cover, income protection, and related financial protection solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong sales ability, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping clients protect themselves and their families financially.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct fact-finding appointments with new and existing clientsAssess clients’ financial circumstances and protection needsRecommend suitable protection products tailored to client requirementsExplain product features, benefits, and policy terms clearly and compliantlyGenerate and manage leads through referrals, marketing campaigns, and business development activityBuild long-term relationships with clients and maintain high levels of customer serviceLiaise with lenders, insurers, estate agents, and other third parties where requiredMaintain accurate records and ensure all activity meets FCA compliance standardsAchieve individual sales and performance targets

Requirements

Previous experience as a Protection Adviser, Insurance Adviser, Mortgage & Protection Adviser, or similar financial services roleStrong knowledge of life insurance, critical illness cover, and income protection productsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsTarget-driven with a proactive sales approachAbility to build trust and rapport with clientsOrganised with strong attention to detailCompetent using CRM systems and Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

CeMAP qualification (desirable)Experience working in a regulated financial services environmentKnowledge of FCA compliance requirements
